Ashley Mostaghimi, CEO
Ashley Mostaghimi, Chief Executive Officer of ESN, holds a Master’s degree in Education Policy & Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Ashley received the Leadership in Education Award to support her studies, and while at Harvard she completed coursework at both the Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School. She was active in the social entrepreneurship community, leading the Bridge student organization and directing the most successful Educational Enterprise Idea Competition in school history. Prior to graduate school, Ashley taught for three years in the Mississippi Delta as a Teach For America corps member. She is a graduate of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg public schools in Charlotte, NC, and holds a B.A. with Honors in Public Policy with a concentration in Education Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At both UNC and Harvard, Ashley conducted research on school districts. For the last two summers, Ashley has participated in the Urban Education Leaders Internship Program in the Office of the Chancellor for the District of Columbia Public Schools in the Transformation Management Office. She is currently doing consulting work for the Providence (RI) Public Schools.
Elliot Haspel, President
Elliot Haspel, President and Chief Program Officer of ESN, also holds a Master’s degree in Education Policy & Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. While at Harvard, Elliot also studied at the Harvard Kennedy School. Elliot previously taught for two years in Phoenix, Arizona as a Teach For America corps member. While teaching, he spearheaded the founding of the Littleton Education Foundation, a philanthropic fund dedicated to the district in which he taught. He is extensively involved in the TFA organization and has trained new Teach For America teachers for the past two summers at the Phoenix training Institute as a Corps Member Advisor and a Senior Corps Members Advisor. He has served as an intern at both The Education Trust, where he worked on projects concerning state assessment results and value-added accountability systems, and the U.S. Department of State. Elliot is a graduate of the Fairfax, VA public schools and holds a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia. Currently, Elliot is serving on the staff of TFA’s Bay Area corps where he supports 32 first- and second-year teachers as a Program Director.
